KEMLatch does not upload backups; where a backup goes after you export it is governed by the service you save it to.We do not collect or process: your identity, contacts, location, usage analytics, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, crash data, or the contents of your vault. Because we collect nothing, there is nothing for us to share, sell, or disclose.
KEMLatch uses the camera only to scan setup QR codes when you choose to add an account. QR images are processed on device in real time and are never stored or transmitted.
The core app works fully offline. KEMLatch does not contact our servers (we do not operate any that receive your data). If a future version adds optional, clearly-labelled server-assisted enrollment or sync, it will be end-to-end encrypted so that no server can read your secrets, and this policy will be updated before such a feature ships.
KEMLatch is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children. It collects no data from anyone, including children.
Your data lives only on your device (and in any backups you personally export). Deleting the app removes its on-device vault and the associated Keychain key. You are responsible for deleting any backup files you exported.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
